Adam is a lawyer in Australia and earned a handsome salary from his work. Later in 2009 he appeared for the auditions of the Master Chef Australia and fortunately he was the winner of the show. He won the reality TV show on 25 July 2010. This helped him in earning a higher income through cookery shows and after winning the Master Chef he decided to open a restaurant as well. His parents divorced when he was young and his mother shifted to New Zealand to start a new life. He used to spend a lot of time with his paternal grandmother and he also revealed that his grandmother is the person behind his success in cooking shows. He completed his graduation from University of Adelaide and he received his degree in Science and Law.

In 1999, Adam’s first employer was the esteemed law firm, Kelly and Co Lawyers. He worked in Adelaide for them and his domain were mostly related to technology, corporate law, business advisory and international trade. He was also appointed as the secretary of the Hong Kong Australia Business Association. In 2004, he left Kelly and Co Lawyers and started working for The Walt Disney Company in Japan. He was heading the Media Law for the organization. Later in 2010 he won the title of Master Chef Australia and that was the beginning of his journey as Television Chef. As per the deal, after winning Master Chef he got a chance to release his own cook book and he ended up writing 4 cook books across the years. He also partnered with Nathan Smith and Crabbe to start his own restaurant. In 2012, Adam started his own food show, ‘Destination Flavor: Japan’. There were two more seasons for this show.
