Anna Bling is a famous Australian Politician. She represents Australian Labor Party from the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. It is also known that Anna was the first women in history to be appointed as Premier of Queensland.

Anna was born in Queensland and her childhood was spend in Gold Coast, Australia. It is known that her parents got divorced when she was 13 and her custody went to her mother. She grew up living with her mother. She completed her education from the University of Queensland. She received her degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1978. She had actively been involved in social service since her youth and it is also reported that she worked for a lot of community organization. Later in life, she married Greg Wither. Her husband was a public servant and she gave birth to two children. Anna also participated in Master Chef Australia’s celebrity version.
Anna’s first victory came in 1995 when she was elected to parliament. In 1998, she was given the responsibility and the position of Minister for Families, Youth and Community Care and Disability Services. In 2001, she became the Education Minister of Queensland. In 2005, Terry Mackenroth announced her retirement and Anna got a chance to take responsibilities of Deputy Premier and Minister for Finance, State Development, Trade and Innovation. Later she became the leader of Labor Party and later she became the Premier for Queensland. Anna is also the lady behind the privatization of 5 government corporations. She also tried to reintroduce Daylight Saving but later, it failed and was not implemented because of the strong opposition it received. She acted swiftly during the Queensland flood and it enable her to gain more popularity. After the results of 2012 elections were announced Anna announced her retirement owing to a bad defeat in the elections. She also revealed that she was willing to continue her term in parliament but owing to this defeat she is unwilling to take her career further.
